Dear Guests and future guests,

I have designed our policy to be fair to both yourself, and to me and my business.

“We sell accommodation and beds, and if not filled on that day they cannot be put back on the shelf to sell another day. Its lost forever.

It’s not a tangible item like most saleable things.”

So, when you book accommodation with us, we promise not to sell it to someone else… its yours.

So, if you cancel, this is what we do…

We take a 50% deposit for all accommodation and the remainder is payable on the island with card or cash preferably, except during QLD school holidays where we take 100% upfront. When on the Island whatever amount is paid in cash for accommodation (only) will be discounted 5% for that amount only.

FULL REFUND

If you cancel 30 days or more in advance for a booking outside school holidays, we will fully refund all your monies.

The only exception is QLD school holidays in Easter, Spring and Summer where the conditional refund applies.

Believe it or not these are hardest to resell because people plan these dates way ahead.

CONDITIONAL REFUND

If you cancel less than 30 days we will attempt to resell your accommodation for you as we trust you will do also. Either to a friend or sell on marketplace. Your booking is changeable to another name. We are not an airline!

If we or you resell, we will fully refund you on the basis a new deposit has been received.

We will do this once your booking date has passed and the accommodation has been filled.

Alternatively, you may also rebook in a non-school holiday period and leave your deposit with us….

This is the preferred option.

If it is not resold and you don’t wish to rebook outside of school holidays we will keep your 50% deposit and we have had a win/win or lose/lose. Guess it depends on how you see the glass/world.
